We began by creating a little design of what our measurements would be as well as what woods we wanted to use. I chose to use purple heart and maple with the two stripes as you can see in the picture. From there, I glued together each of the pieces. After it was dry, I planed and cut the wood to size. After, we rounded off the edges to give it a smoother look. Then we drilled holes into the back for where the magnets would go: two of the holes on the top and bottom, one near the bottom in between the other two that is deeper than the other two, and two holes drilled in the front for the actual bottle opener screws. After, I put on multiple coats of danish oil, then polyurethane. Finally, I screwed on the bottle openers and am now waiting to glue on magnets.
Challenges I don't think there were many challenging parts of this project, other than figuring how deep to drill the middle hole. That is the hole where the magnet that will catch the bottle opener goes. Therefore, it is the most important.
What I Learned From this project I learned to problem solve and seeing that there can always be improvement with the way you do things. When creating the holes for the magnets, Will and I had trouble drilling the initial hole that was just with a simple bit, and not with the actual circle bit. We used multiple bits before we found the right one that wasn't too dull and just burned the wood.

Final Product
I liked this project because it was like the mountain project: I was able to create something with my hands that I personally think is visually pleasing and I hope it sells. I currently don't have a picture of the final product, but it will soon be up.
